Would you like the Borderlands soundtrack on collectible vinyl discs? It's been impossible until now...who is fulfilling the dream? Laced Records is the one publishing this collection, which is due out late next month. The original Borderlands was released in 2009 with a soundtrack composed by several different musicians. Jesper Kyd, who has written pieces for the Assassin's Creed and Hitkman series, contributed some Wild West flavored guitar riffs. Duo Sascha Dikiciyan & Cris Velasco, whose lengthy resume includes Quake 2 & 3, Unreal Tournament, Mass Effect 3, God of War 3, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided between them, worked on the battle music, as did Raison Varner who has gone to work on the Borderlands sequels. Now all their work is coming to a vinyl soundtrack set at last. Thirty tracks from the game, including bonus tracks that didn't make it into the final cut, will be packed onto two LPs and packaged in a wide-spine gatefold sleeve decorated with artwork from the Borderlands art team. The Borderlands soundtrack goes on sale in late September for $35. Two versions will be made available: one with pink discs exclusive to the Laced Records store, and one with traditional black discs available elsewhere.
