Gearbox Studio announced that Borderlands 3 will not be featuring at this year's E3 convention. Up until now, we haven't gotten any real information about Borderlands 3 in terms of where it takes place, new features etc. With that in mind, how do you feel about this announcement from Gearbox? Do you think this is an intentional misdirection from them? I would like to know your thoughts!
I have never been a real big fan of any intentional misdirection from anyone, especially a large company, so I cannot say I hope that is the case but I am also not one to rule anything out. Should be interesting to see where it goes from here, though.
I find it odd that we hardly know anything about Borderlands 3(the characters, the plot, the classes etc.) yet they would miss the E3 convention. They could easily use E3 to boost fan expectation and the publicity would do wonders for the game, By leaving the Borderlands fanbase in the dark about a release date or any information for that matter, attracting new fans to the franchise may be an uphill task.
I guess it's fair in that case. They want to limit their publicity. And that's their approach. I am sure they must have thought about this already and they have their own set of the views on this.
