So firstly, I'm not actually completely done the game yet, just started playing it recently (at the point where Roland is missing), but I wanted to ask what you guys thought of the main antagonist. Personally, he's been an amazing villain so far, already killing off a semi-major character from the first game (Helena) and just being an all around horrible person. He also has a ton of charisma which is portrayed really well through the audio logs, hats off for the voice actor there.
I'm a shameless Handsome Jack fan. He's 100% horrible and the things he's done to gain power is truly heinous, but he's also hilarious and has hints of a really interesting backstory. I think he's an expertly crafted bad guy because he's balanced so perfectly between hating him and wanting to see what he'll do next. And his voice actor deserves a lot of credit for what he's done with the rule. That guy basically is Handsome Jack.
He's the bad guy, obviously, but he's also a very interesting character. I get really entertained when he appears because of his actions. Amazing work from the developers.
Handsome Jack is one of my favorite characters. Everything from his personality to his story is intriguing to me. I know that he is the "bad guy," but I've always been drawn to the villains. I mentioned in another thread that I feel like his character might be a little misunderstood. He makes for a wonderful villain, though.
He is a real old-fashioned charming rouge, and the writers did a good job of adding weight and a sense of dread to his actions fairly early on. More so, he personifies in many ways the established Borderlands universe. I wholeheartedly wish other game makers placed the same impetus on villains as Gearbox did here. Something other supposed AAA titles are sorely missing (cough *most fps including Borderlands 1).
Handsome Jack is one of my favourite villains, I like learning about his backstory and I jsut find him really entertaining.
